Ultrasound is an essential skill in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Our department has introduced several exciting initiatives to upskill our registrars in this regard.
Simulation training is a well-established method in medicine for teaching individuals to improve their practical skills in a safe and controlled environment. Our department, in conjunction with the department of Radiology, has purchased a state-of-the-art Scan Trainer machine. The scan trainer provides the user with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform a basic and advanced ultrasound exam during pregnancy.
